The assistant now takes documents and text files as attachments

Besides images, a message to the assistant can now carry PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, HTML and Markdown pages, and plain text files such as CSV, JSON or log files. The assistant answers questions about the contents of an attached document.

• The attachments of one message may total 50 MB.
• A PDF that is too large or has too many pages is refused, and the message says so.
• Deleting a conversation also deletes the files attached to it.
• A file attached but not yet sent is still there after the page is reloaded.
