You are told when an irradiation sensor stops measuring

Your irradiation sensors are now flagged when one reads zero while a neighbouring sensor or the plant's own production shows the sun is up. A confirmed defect also sends you a notification. A dome that is dirty or snow-covered is reported as soiling, not as a hardware fault. Your plants receive this with their next agent update.

  • A soiled sensor is reported as a defect if it does not recover within about seven days.
  • On Huawei loggers, you get no alert when a sensor reads zero on every value while the plant produces.
  • A sensor that stopped measuring is never counted as lost production.
