Inverter availability no longer misreads days without sun

The inverter availability figure used for the technical report and the data export misread days without enough sunlight: such a day produced no availability value at all. These days now count as fully available, and only intervals with enough sunlight and no inverter output reduce the figure.

Pause data collection from a data logger

On a plant's components page, each data logger in the data logger tab now shows whether the on-site agent is collecting from it, with a "Pause" menu. You pause collection for 15 minutes up to 24 hours, for example during maintenance; it resumes by itself, or earlier with "Resume".

Add data loggers on the components page

On a plant's components page, the data logger tab has a new "Add Logger" button. You choose the logger type, then enter its name, address, polling interval, credentials and the settings that belong to that type. The new data logger appears in the list with the status initializing.

Dashboard tiles show the EUR value first, negative daily energy is offset against the next day, and the power graph starts without "String Sum".

  • The dashboard's production, shutdown and loss tiles show the EUR value as the main figure; a switch beside the time selector puts energy first instead.
  • The dashboard's energy bars set a negative daily value to 0 and offset it against the next day.
  • The analysis page's power graph starts with the "String Sum" line switched off; you can switch it on in the graph's legend.

Data loggers on the components page

A plant's components page has a new "Data Logger" tab. It lists the plant's data loggers with their communication status and address, and a logger's details show its source, serial number, state and connection settings.

The on-site analysis keeps same-numbered strings of different inverters apart, recognises curtailment from the plant's power limits, and rates manually created strings from their inverter.

  • On plants with several inverters, the on-site analysis no longer mixes up strings that carry the same number under different inverters.
  • The on-site analysis recognises curtailment from the power limits the plant receives and, without them, only when the weather forecast shows sun.
  • Strings you created manually, which have no measurements of their own, are rated by the on-site analysis from their inverter's measurements.

Daily energy bars on the analysis page no longer spike on zero counter readings, and you can choose which columns its component tables show.

  • The analysis page's daily energy bars and energy totals no longer show spikes when an inverter's, combiner box's or string's energy counter briefly reads zero.
  • A negative daily energy bar on the analysis page is set to 0 and offset against the next day.
  • On the analysis page, "Select Columns" sets which columns the inverter, combiner box and string tables show.
  • The components page's inverter, combiner box and string lists flag a component without data for 1 year.
  • A plant's component totals and inverter power count components that were never marked as hidden again.
  • The "Report" entry in a plant's menu is greyed out and cannot be opened.

Huawei data loggers: string values for up to 18 strings per inverter

On plants with a Huawei data logger, the on-site agent now reads string voltages and currents for up to 18 strings per inverter, up from 12. Larger inverters such as the SUN2000-185KTL get values for strings 13 to 18. Your plants receive this with their next agent update.

Inverters count as communicating after data within the last hour, hidden components leave totals and reports, and the production page shows data availability per inverter.

  • Inverters count as communicating when they delivered data within the last hour; the production page's inverter table shows when each was last seen.
  • The production page's inverter table shows data availability in daylight as a percentage ring; a reading counts only when power is above 0 W.
  • You can mark an inverter as hidden in its details; hidden components and everything beneath them leave plant totals, the analysis table and reports.
  • The components page flags inverters without data for 1 hour and combiner boxes and strings without data for 25 hours.
  • The monitor opens an overview of a plant's data loggers with status, and the production page shows the data logger each inverter reports through.
  • A plant's production status now distinguishes offline, unknown and overproduction, and an info icon in the dashboard and the monitor explains each status.
  • The production and analysis graphs hatch periods with snow on the ground and name it in the tooltip.
  • The analysis page's tables add "Energy Loss" and "Efficiency" columns, and "Energy reference", formerly "Digital Twin", shows measured divided by simulated energy.

Stuck inverter energy counters no longer inflate lost energy, and devices behind a Huawei data logger are detected automatically with their logger names.

  • An inverter's energy counter that stands still and then jumps to catch up counts as a communication gap, not as lost energy.
  • When an inverter's energy counter stays stuck after an outage, lost energy for its strings counts only the outage period, not the whole day.
  • Inverters and sensors behind a Huawei data logger are detected automatically and carry the names set in the logger.

Sungrow data loggers: inverter values assigned to the right inverter

On plants with a Sungrow data logger, each inverter's values are now assigned by the device list the logger itself reports. Before, inverters were numbered by their position in the logger's overview, so an inverter's detailed and string values could come from a different inverter or be missing. Your plants receive this with their next agent update.

Energy totals stay correct on plants with gaps in inverter data, and components now show their orientation, a status distribution and marked abnormal days.

  • Energy totals per inverter and combiner box no longer come out wrong on plants whose inverters log data with gaps.
  • An inverter's, combiner box's or string's detail view shows a status distribution: days producing normally, degraded, not producing or without data.
  • The production page's month view marks days whose status was not normal with a coloured dot above the bar, explained in the legend.
  • The analysis page's inverter, combiner box and string tables show each component's orientation and can be sorted and filtered by it.

Lost energy during an inverter outage counts all of the inverter's strings, and plants with several feed-in meters are checked against their sum.

  • During an inverter outage, lost energy now counts all of the inverter's strings, including strings whose own data stopped arriving during the outage.
  • On plants with more than one feed-in meter, the feed-in check no longer compares each meter alone with the whole plant's expected output.
